What actually moves the price of hollow, solid and insulated concrete blocks in the UAE — block type, size, order volume and delivery distance — and how to compare supplier quotes fairly.

The per-unit cost depends on the block type (hollow is the most economical, solid sits above it, and the insulated block carries an EPS-core premium), the size and thickness, how many you order, and how far we deliver from our Umm Al Quwain factory. What drives the price, roughly in order of impact: block type comes first — hollow blocks use less material per unit and are the most economical; solid blocks are full-density and cost more; insulated blocks add an EPS core and extra process, so they sit at the top. Size and thickness are next — a 10-inch block costs more than a 6-inch one. Order volume matters — full-pallet and full-truck loads price better per unit than small top-up orders. Delivery distance is real freight — we ship from Umm Al Quwain to all seven emirates, and the haulage grows with distance and site access. Finally, market inputs: cement and aggregate prices move with the market and feed straight into block cost.
How to compare two quotes fairly: put them on the same basis before you judge the number. Check whether each price is per block or per square metre of wall, whether delivery is included or ex-works (collected from the factory), and exactly which SKU it covers — a 200 mm hollow is not the same product as a 200 mm insulated block.
